NOT LOSING MY JOB!!!!
i’ll spare the gross cleaning up details (almost everything was soaked, and i mean SOAKED), but after working our butts off since the wee hours of the morning, we’re gonna be open again tomorrow!
the place also kind of smells like when you leave a wet towel crumpled up for too long, but hopefully that airs out by tomorrow. i really don’t think that stench pleases customers...

i just got a call that the bakery is majorly flooded. we have to go in tomorrow as soon as it’s light out to clean up/assess how bad it really is, but it doesn’t look good. my boss was literally sobbing on the phone to me and it’s really started to hit me now as well.

it makes the fact that my ceiling is leaking in several places totally fine by me!
also, my roommate’s boyfriend has his dog over with him this weekend and i think he really likes this flooding ceiling situation too because he gets a lot of water bowls to choose from.
